Microsoft-Yahoo to merge?
In the effort to challenge Google, Microsoft have made a bid of USD44.6 billion to acquire Yahoo, a company in crisis, on Feb 1, 2008.
“Microsoft has to do this deal. It’s a battle that Microsoft needs to win,” said AMR Research analyst Jonathan Yarmis.
“This is a decision we have — and I have — thought long and hard about,”. “We are very, very confident this is the right path for Microsoft and for Yahoo,” said Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s chief executive.
Yahoo! said it will “carefully and promptly” study Microsoft’s bid.
Is this merging will become reality? What will happens if Microsoft acquire Yahoo?
